PreK Certificates (Free Printable)

My son is now about half-way through preschool and I started to go through an evaluation assessment to see what we needed to work on more and what he has accomplished.  I was really surprised at how much he had accomplished! Yes, there are things still work on though.

But since he had accomplished so much, I decided to create some PreK Certificates.  I will be holding a special "night" for our son to award 4 of these to him with family.  We'll make it a BIG deal and yes, I will share a post on my blog with pictures.

I wanted to share our PreK Certificates, thinking that others might want to use them and hold their own "award" night for their little tots!

Weekly Organization

Needing a boost of organization without trying to track inside a HUGE binder with millions of tabs? I finally simplified my binder! And this works for me, so I thought maybe it would work for someone else.  I am a person that once I find a short cut, I'm gonna use it and then probably find a way to simplify it more, lol.

So, my weekly printable log has become my short cut.  It has everything I need to track for the week on TWO pages, yes, only 2 pages.  So, wonderful! Now, I can just glue these 2 pages inside a file folder and place that inside my calendar and away I go - simple.

So, I thought I would share with everyone the February printables, since I just finished them.  There is 5 files, since savvy me couldn't figure out how to put them all into one! LOL  I'll figure it out for March.

Includes:
Overview of the Week
Cleaning Task List
To Do List
Goal List
Meal Plan for the Week
Grocery List
School Supply List
Notes Area

Enjoy!!!

God's Child is Kind

Our school room is under construction - I decided I need a change for the New Year and was crazy enough to try and undertake the project over the Holidays (silly me!).  So, it's not quite finished yet... but I plan to have it done next weekend (hopefully, I'm not making any promises, hehe).  So, while it's under construction, I came up with our lesson plan to utilize the REST of the house!

For the next 8 weeks, we will be doing a study on "God's Child" and how a child of God is to be.  We'll be using a book by Rainbow Publishers called "Instant Bible Lessons for Preschools: I am God's Child".

For this week, we will be learning that God's Child is Kind.  I'm posting up our lesson plan and the daily break down of our lesson plan and some of our printables - Enjoy!!!

Free Printable: Exploration Journal Page

Does your little one like to explore the world around them? My son does, the more he can "find", "touch", "see", "taste", or "hear" - the more he wants to learn about it.  So every week, I try to include in our theme something that can be found, touched, seen, tasted, and listen to.  Then we journal about these at the end of each day what we discover.

For example, we did a theme on Apples, so I included fun stuff like:
  • Does it sink or float? Putting apples in the bathtub to find out.
  • What do different apples taste like? Cut up different ones and talked about their taste.

Then each day we do nature walks, YES, even when it's cold outside and snow is on the ground.  Which is daring for me, since I'm not a snow bunny and I'd rather be inside with a cup of hot chocolate and snuggled in a blanket... but Jordan is a snow bunny! :)  On our walks we try to find something new outside - whether it's a new decoration on a house or an interesting bug or hearing a new bird.

And the end of the day, we will print out pictures, cut them out and then glue them to our exploration journal page.  Then I have my son tell me about his discoveries and I write them down for him.

So, to share with everyone, here is a FREE Printable for a Daily Exploration Journal Page.  Enjoy!!!

Have Fun and Be a Blessing,
~Bekah :)
