Giveaway: 7 Mini Lessons Using the Christmas Tree

In need of something to help teach your children about the real meaning of Christmas? Are you looking for something that would be interactive? Are you looking for something that is hands on?

Then you need the "7 Mini Lessons Using the Christmas Tree" by Patricia Meyers of Children's Church Stuff!!!

This mini lesson booklet is AWESOME! It's great for a Sunday School setting, homeschool setting, or even just a family devotion time! It's fun, it's easy to understand, and best of all it uses the ONE thing that most people have in their home around this time of year - the Christmas tree!!!

The 7 lessons are as follows:
  •  #1 - Always Green - Always Full of Life
  •  #2 - A Little Out, A little up!
  •  #3 - How are you decorated?
  •  #4 - Let's Shine!
  •  #5 - You are an Ornament!
  •  #6 - What a Topper!
  •  #7 - We are surrounded by gifts everyday!

Each one of these lessons uses the Christmas tree to teach about Jesus and His love for us and how WE can be a blessing to others.  Definitely plan to do these lessons with your actual Christmas tree, that you can wait to decorate or plan to do it with a special extra Christmas tree.  You will be laughing and having some tender moments as a family with this special mini lesson book... but best of all, you'll be sharing God's love with each other and discovering why Jesus came to set us free! Something that we, as moms (and dads), so much want to see our kids come to know personally!!!

I have personally done these 7 mini lessons in a children's church setting and I loved every minute of it! Kids being able to see a Christmas Tree and that it has meaning beyond what they thought and hearing them share what they learned about the truth from these lessons to their friends made my heart overflow with joy!!!  I now get the privilege of sharing these lessons within my own home to my 3 year old and I cannot wait to pull out the Christmas tree and give him a visual lesson of Jesus.

And don't think you won't learn something new as an adult... because EVERY time I read through this and study out Scriptures, I have been given something new each year.  My favorite lesson is #2, A little out, A little up! This one spoke volumes to me because it's about the branches of the tree... they reach out and up.  It's the same message for us, when life gets hard, we need to reach out and up to God! And it's also got other meaning, we truly are the branches on the vine and we are to bear MUCH fruit.  But we need the strength of God to keep us rooted, so we can keep ALL that fruit up on our branch.  Think about it this way - if you put a ton of ornaments on one branch of your Christmas tree - what happens? Right! It droops - or even worse, they fall off.  We must remain in the vine (Jesus), so we can receive all the "nutrients" we need to stay strong to support ALL that fruit God wants in our lives - and that requires us to reach out and up to Him!!! An eye opener? Most definitely.  I took this lesson to heart, in the times when my husband and I struggled because we were told we wouldn't have children... I decided to go to God, I reached out to Him, and I reached up to Him many many many nights... and God reached down to me and He blessed us with a beautiful son! Nothing is impossible with God!

I LOVE this mini lesson unit and I am thrilled to offer a FREE copy to a special reader and I hope it blesses your family or Sunday School as much as it has with mine.  This giveaway ends Friday, December 2, 2011 at midnight.
