Sickness Struck my Home

The sick bug visited my home, it first started with my husband... he went into the doctor and they told him it was scarlet fever.  Then the test results came back and strep did not exist, so they are now running more tests on him to find out what he had.  My son on the otherhand, tested positive for strep and has been sick ALL week.  The poor little guy has been just sleeping most of the time, so I have been cleaning, cuddling, making steam pots, putting vicks on chests, making sure liquids are going down... and trying to keep up with my own health.  We did no school this week... my little guy has just not been feeling well enough.  I have some AWESOME fine motor skill activities to post up though when we get the chance, but I think I will save it for a guest post at Enchanted Homeschooling Mom site.

My husband is doing much better, they are recommending that his tonsils come out - if that is to take place, we will need MUCH prayers for him to have an awesome recovery.  Praying Jordan feels better tomorrow morning, otherwise I will have to take him back into the doctor.

I'm believing my little guy will be back to health by next week... we'll then start our Love lesson week and we've got LOTS of Valentine crafts!

What did you do this past week? What's in store for next week? Please share.

  1. I am so sorry your sweet family has been sick! That is not fun! This week we have done a Veggie Tales theme, with a little groundhogs activities today. And next week we start Love and Valentine's activities. Can't wait to see what you do next week. Hoping everyone gets and stays healthy at your house asap!!!

  2. I hope that everyone in your household makes a speedy recovery! Being young and that sick is never any fun since they do not really understand. If you husband has to have his tonsils out it's really not that bad. The recovery time is actually pretty quick all things considered. Hang in there and I will send well wishes for your entire family to make a quick recovery so they can enjoy Valentine's Day!
