April Books We Read

So hard to believe April is already over! I just started tracking back in March what books we have been reading throughout the month (I know I'm so organized, right?!).  I wanted to see a visual of what we read together, which ones we read the most, the least, or only once.  Some of the books we read fit our school themes and some did not, but that's ok, I just love his love for reading!!! :)


Here are the books we read in the month of April:

4.  Arch Book: Jesus and the Stranger by Mervin A. Marquardt & Jim Roberts

• Jordan's rating: grin, favorite

5.  Arch Book: The Story of Barabbas by Yvonne McCall

• Jordan's rating: grin, favorite
• This was definitely a favorite book - we read this one almost every day in April.

6.  Arch Book: Kiri and the First Easter by Carol Greene

• Jordan's rating: straight face, OK

7.  Arch Book: The Donkey who Served the King by Joyce Coe

• Jordan's rating: straight face, OK

8.  Arch Book: The Man who Carried the Cross for Jesus by Constance Head

• Jordan's rating: smile, good book

9.  Alice in Bibleland Series: The Story of Easter by Alice Joyce Davidson

• Jordan's rating: grin, favorite
• Another book that was read almost every day in April, I recommend this entire series, they are really cute!!!

10.  The Story of Easter by Patricia A. Pingry

• Jordan's rating: straight face, OK

11.  Veggie Tales: God Made You Special! by Eric Metaxas

• Jordan's rating: smile, good book
• His favorite part of the book is when Larry gets called a pickle and Larry corrects it to a cucumber. :)

12.  Mine! by Shutta Crum

• Jordan's rating: smile, good book
• Good book for helping with sharing.

13.  Curious George Takes a Train by Margaret & H. A. Rey's

• Jordan's rating: grin, favorite
• Well, that was a given, it has a "train" in it. :)

14.  Curious George Goes to the Circus by Margaret & H. A. Rey's

• Jordan's rating: smile, good book

15.  Curious George Visits the Zoo by Margaret & H. A. Rey's

• Jordan's rating: grin, favorite
• He liked finding the balloon on all the pages.

16.  A Cake All for Me! by Karen Beil

• Jordan's rating: grin, favorite
• Great counting book and helps with the concept of sharing.

17.  The Carnival of all the Animals by Jack Prelutsky

• Jordan's rating: grin, favorite
• Our first book that came with a CD, he LOVED listening to the story and seeing the book - will definitely find another one of these.

18.  Drip Drip Drip by Kathy Caple

• Jordan's rating: grin, favorite
• He LOVES pre-reader books like this, but this was a definite favorite! I think this will be checked out again.

 19.  Disney's Tarzan by RH Disney

• Jordan's rating: grin, favorite

 20.  The Goat Parade by Steven Kroll

• Jordan's rating: smile, good book

 

 21.  The Hungry Frog (Wiggly Eyes) by Hinkler Books

• Jordan's rating: grin, favorite
• The ultimate favorite in the house right now - it's our bed time book now!
