Monthly Guideline: May 2012

I can't believe May is here already... and I already feel behind! *sighz* Well, we will be covering lots here in May (hopefully), least I will try.  So, this post is to give you an idea of the "goals" for May 2012, and I'm calling this a guideline, rather than an actual plan because I have no idea if I will actually be able to get through everything this month.  My work schedule will change for just a period of time, so I will be going back to full-time to help out the front office since a co-worker will have a period of absence for a little bit.  I believe all things happen for a reason... so I choose to be content no matter what.

So here is a snap shot of our May 2012 Guideline, not 100% complete, but I add as I go along:

  1. Wow, Bekah! This is amazing. I have a few questions. Where did you get your list of things Jordan is doing at 44 months of age? Also, I looked at Preschool Palace, do they provide a monthly curriculum pdf as the link went to? Isn't it fun to see how our kids grow!

    1. I looked at lists before Jordan was born at what a child at different age levels is supposed to be doing, I put it into an excel chart. As Jordan learned it, I would check it off with the "key" I set up and if he learned new things, I would add it to my list. Plus, I've looked into many different assessments and have added things he's supposed to know to graduate preschool and just added those to my list. If you want a copy of it, I can send it to you! :)

Yes, Preschool Palace offers a PDF of their curriculum monthly. It's not always released early though, that's why I plan out my themes weekly instead of monthly. :)

Yes, it's awesome to see how our kids grow!!! God has made each one so unique and it's awesome to see the gifts God has given them. :)

  2. I would love a copy of your list!

And I always feel behind! Sometimes I don't get anything ready (stuff for art projects) until right before we do it. I was always way more prepared as a teacher at school. I think I'm so distracted at home with household stuff!
